
Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility is pleased to release their 2006 unannounced annual survey for licensure and recertification with the Michigan Department of Community Health and Center for Medicaid and Medicare services was citation free! Our licensing officer Catherine Hunter included this statement as well in the final report: “The Gaylord survey team would like to commend you and your staff on an outstanding 2006 standard health survey, resulting in no health citations. We would also like to specifically compliment the facility on your pro-active quality assurance program as it related to falls, as well as your superb meal services in multiple dining areas, in which all resident interviews reflected high satisfaction with. Your survey results, innovative quality assurance program and food service delivery reflect your commitment to enhancing the quality of care and quality of life of your residents.” The Michigan Department of Community Health surveys Meadow Brook on an annual basis. The process generally lasts about a week and includes intensive oversight and monitoring between the surveyors and staff. Areas of care include but are not limited to: medication passes, feeding, sanitation, meal and care delivery and infection control practices. This tremendous accomplishment directly speaks to staff excellence and expertise of providing exceptional quality service to Antrim County citizens and those of neighboring communities. |
